Charlene Douglas, associate professor in the School of Nursing, received a 2016 Partnership Award from Fairfax County’s Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS).
Senior centers are just one of group of services within NCS. Douglas was nominated by Karen Gasper of Little River Glen Senior Center. Douglas has coordinated sending students to Little River Glen Senior Center for clinical placements for more than a decade.
The awards honor individuals and organizations who assist NCS in fulfilling its mission of bringing people and resources together to strengthen the well-being of individuals and communities; and go above and beyond the expectations of a traditional colleague, partner, or contractor.
